I was driving and the car made a strange noise and stalled out (I probably also blew my engine lol)

I tried to crank it and all I get is one single tick sound. I then noticed a weird smell and it looks like a wire burned off the starter. It appears that this wire comes out of the starter body and was connected to one of the posts on the starter.

I am pretty sure I solved my own problem... But I am an amateur... A YouTube certified mechanic that can slap on a few basic parts.

I just wanted to run it by some pros.
