Expedition 4.6 valve cover removal
New to the forum and couldn't find any info on this topic. I am trying to remove the driver side valve cover on a 2003 expedition 4.6 i have it all unbolted but it gets hung up on the pipe in the back close to the fire wall that goes down to the header i really don't want to pull them off if i dont have too. If anyone has any in put please let me know thanks

What's the reason, fittings stuck, or?
Fairly simple to remove unless the disturbing the pipe or fittings is a worry.. You could probably get one end or the other loose and carefully bow the pile to get enough clearance, as long as it's not over stressed. Sometimes the fitting at the manifold tends to be more of a challenge from corrosion/heat than the one at the EGR.. With the correct wrenches, some penetrant, usually a simple job tho..
