My wife and I just purchased a 2003 4X4 Eddie Bauer Exp. w/ 62K on the clock.




We are happy with the deal that we got and look forward to keeping it for a long time. Having said that and read some reviews on the truck and seeing a couple of maintenance areas, I need real owner advice.

What are problem areas that y'all have experinced? What are things that I need to replace or be aware of? What about increasing mileage, don't get me wrong, I am not one of those who buys a truck like this and then complains about the poor mileage. I am just looking for any increases that y'all found.

What are good sites for after-market items and what have y'all done to the Exp's that y'all own? What can I do to make the 4WD system better? Locker in the rear?

I am planning on changing all of the fluids to synthetics, any reason why I shouldn't?
