no heat 99 expedition

is there a back yard way to fix heater door flapper in 99 expedition with no heat, blower works, antifreeze full, no leaks, without pulling dash or spending hundreds on mechanics ?

There is a door flapper utube. It shows troubleshooting the door mechanism by going in through the glove compartment.
