Default Oil Pressure gauge - 00 Expedition

My oil pressure gauge is fluctuating between no pressure and normal from start up until the vehicle warms up, which is generally less than one minute. I am trying to figure out why this would be occurring. Once the vehicle is warm, the gauge works just fine. I am thinking that it might be an oil sending unit.

Default RE: Oil Pressure gauge - 00 Expedition

Theoil pressure gauge receives the oil pressure 'status' directly from the oil pressure switch. The gauge is a 'two-position' unit meaning that it will 'only' read 0 and NORMAL..

Connect a jumper wire (preferably a fused (5A) jumper wire) between the engine oil pressure switchharness connector(WH/RD), and ground the wire end.. The gauge should read Normal pressure if the sender is faulted.
