Default check gauge no oil pressure when cold.

On very cold mornings I get the check gauge light and there is no oil pressure however the truck runs fine. When it warms up a little the gauge starts working. Is this anything to worry about? Am I hurting my truck? Thank you for your replies in advance.

No oil pressure is always a concern, even if only for a little while. More info would be nice, like what year make model engine is truck. Might be sludge build up and need to have oil pan cleaned and pickup screen cleaned.

Its a 2000 3.0 6cyl. 96,000. I was thinking it was the oil sensing unit?

If I remember correctly, Ford released an updated pressure sender for this concern. Replace that first and let us know the outcome.
