A buddy of mine told me about ford having problems with spark plugs shoting out of the heads and or pulling threads out when replacing plugs. Has any one heard about this?

 

Heard of it, yes. Had it happen to me, not yet. I have replaced the plugs, and I used anti-seize on them in hopes the dissimiler metals wont cause corrosion to the threads and weaken them. A very little goes a long way. I'm not reccomending you do this because I dont want to be the cause of another failure if you do it wrong.

 

FORD DID HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OLDER 5.4 HAVE SEEN A FEW AT OUR DEALERSHIP.BUT NOT IN AWHILE.
