Default started the 5.4 after 5 years and shes noisy

my dad got a chassis from texas in 2020 (we live in the midwest so a rust free chassis is rare) and a motor and did timing chains on it. he went to jail, went to start it when he got out a year and a half ago and it was "locked up" but it was just the alternator. i got it running today and it was a bit noisy and i didnt check the oil first. it had great oil pressure but i shut it down after about a minute or two, and checked the oil and it wasnt even touching the stick. i topped it off and restarted it and its still the same. do you guys think i just need to change the yuckkyy oil? do you think i hurt it running it for the short period of time i did? like i said it had oil pressure the whole time and it tapped for literally a single second so i know the tensioner pumped up when it first fired and got a lot quieter but its still noisy. the first initial tap is gone completely now when i restart it so i know its holding pressure while its not running and it just "lost prime" from sitting.

Default

he fell asleep with it running and woke up to it shut off, apparently the heater core failed and he pinched it off with vice gripes. thats why he suspected it was actually locked up cuz he thought he overheated it to death and it was done
