Transmission Gear Indicator
We have a 2018 Expedition. With 10 sp transmission. When we first got car, the transmission gear indicator displayed what gear we were in.
It is blank now. Not sure why it quit indicating gear. Is there a procedure to turn it back on?

On the shifter using the select shift +/-
if the gear selector indicator was showing all the ranges and + was again selected, it should then indicate compass instead of positions. From compass indication/mode if you select + or - it should restore the gears positions..
