Hello All, I have a 03 Explorer and the oil pressure gauge drops to 0 and the idiot light lights up intermittently. The motor also makes a rattling noise. I don't seem to have any power loss and the engine is not overheating or getting hotter than normal. I heard it was something to do with the timing chain guides? This is a common problem from what I hear. I have 183000 miles on the motor.


I asked a ford pro online and they wanted to charge me for an answer.
