Default 1994 Ford Explorer XL 4x4 Fuel Problem

I replaced my fuel pump because I did not hear it kicking on and I still can not hear it kick on even with a new one I just installed. Besides replacing the fuel pump I have also replaced the following. Fuel relay, fuel pump shutoff switch, and fuel pressure regulator. I also checked the plug that plugs into the fuel pump and was getting a good reading. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

Was there current through the inertia? Ground this connection for FP on the diagnostic connector.. Pump run? You should hear the FP relay close at the very least..

if yours is anything like my 91 i read somewhere in my service manual something about a faulty oil pressure sending unit could cause a complete shut down in the fuel system as to stop you from starting it while there is no oil pumping. something i would look into maybe youll get lucky

I have a 94 explorer and i too changed fuel pump, still nothing. The problem wasnt the pump. There is a connecter on passenger side floor board. Pull carpet down from under dash, there is a connecter there. Make sure its plugged in all the way. I check this all the time now, when truck wont start. Hope this helps....................good luck!
