Default 1997 Eddie B brake lights problem

The check brake lamps message comes on.
No brake lamps, but running lamps work, so ground must be good.
Checked both left and right bulbs, both are good. Didn't do anything with 3rd lamp.
Checked inside fuses, all good. Checked power box fuses, all good.
Checked brake pedal switch, working. Checked brake switch for power, power there.

What's left?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The multi-function switch on the steering column, also known as the signal lite switch.

The signal/stop lite circuit goes through the multifunction switch. You may need to replace it.
