My 1998 Ford Explorer is locked and will not unlock. I have tried the key fob, the actual key and the door code and nothing will get it to unlock. Please help! What do I need to do?

 

Are you by any chance in an area where the temp has gone below freezing and the key tumblers in the door locks are frozen? If so, just heat the key with a match or lighter and insert into the locks a few times , should allow you to turn with the key.

 

Thanks for the reply hanky. I will give your suggestion a try. The temp here (Chicago) is cold but not unusually cold so it would amaze me that all three locks have frozen up, but I will give it a go. Thanks again.
