1999 explorer handbrake cables
hi guys, i have a 1999 rhd north face edition explorer and I'm at my wits end trying to get the correct handbrake cables for my car, its a 1999 right hand drive 4.0L V6 4WD , the handbrake is in-between the two front seats and consists of 3 cables whereas the US version has 4 cables and they don't fit, can anyone help, I've spent hundreds on cables and I'm sick of getting the wrong ones now , thanks for looking
This is new to me, but sometimes 2 heads are better than one.
Do you know where your vehicle was manufactured ? Is there any kind of specification label on or near the driver's side door ?
Did you purchase it new?
Is there a Ford dealership anywhere near your area? If there is, they should be able to help come up with the correct parts.
Your area is not the only one where folks drive on the left hand side of the road.
I don't know for sure, but if you reverse the cable at the wheels, it should work in either left or right side drive. The cable from the inside to the connection at the underside might be different.
Where have you been trying to purchase those parts?
