Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and so far I've been impressed with the inforamtion I've been able to find. I'm a Chevyman at heart, but I'm taking care of my brothers Explorer while he's in Iraq and I'm trying to get some issues worked out.

I've got a consistant road noise thats been going on since the summer time. The noise is sort of a light thumping...similar to the sound when you ahve a rock stuck in one of your tires. The noise is directly associated with the speed. The faster i go, the faster the noise goes. I'm thinking the noise might be u-joint, driveshaft or at least carrier bearing related....if the explorers have one. Any ideas? I've heard this same noise on a couple Rangers so i know I'm not the only one. Thanks in advance for the help.
