2000 Ford Explorer fan blower motor works only on high
Thank you for the update.
Please tell your husband we learned from his experience and to stay in touch because he will no doubt be able to share his knowledge with others that may have the same problem. We might forget exactly what he did to find the solution, but we know he won't!

I have a 99 Mountaineer with the Auto Climate and fan controls on the steering wheel. I am having the same problem with it blowing only on high. However, to confuse the issue, it comes and goes. Some days it runs on high only and other days it will run high until the desired temperature is reached and then the fan adjusts accordingly.
It doesn't matter if I use the steering wheel control or the thumbwheel on the AC panel, it acts the same.
It seems to me that if the switch is burned or has a bad resistor, it would only work one way and not go back and forth.
Any suggestions?
By the way, I have had this since 1999 and now have 240,500 miles. I have a few other minor issues too that I will check the forum for. Thanks
