Default 2000 Ford Explorer sport 4x4 sitting for 3 years bad transmission

So I was given a 00 Explorer sport from a friend. The transmission is shot it sat for three years while he thought he would get around to fixing it but never did. He said the engine ran great when he parked it. So I towed it over to my house I have charged the battery up to 100% and now I want to fire it up to see how the engine runs before proceeding with the transmission. The car has about 200k miles there is fuel in the vehicle, but no oil or engine coolant. And this is how I believe it has been sitting for 3 years. I was hoping someone could break it down in steps and order of what I should do before trying to start the vehicle I do not want to damage anything. Thanks in advance

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site...

Why were the fluids drained? Or, were they...
No oil meaning nothing after the drain plug was removed, or, just doesn’t register on the the stick? Coolant was completely drained, or, just very low, meaning a leak somewhere. Either way,,, For me,, I’d just add the oil, initially fill with coolant and give er a go.. Once it starts, make sure oil pressure instantly follows..... You could add oil, and crank the engine over a bit to push some oil through the system, but really not an issue...
