Default 2003 Explorer XTL with frame damage

I thought I got a great deal on a 2003 Explorer xlt 4X4 at an auto auction for $5100 but I didn't realize it had frame damage. I missed the beggining of the auction where they mention problem. This car is emaculent in showroom condition with 84000 miles. All the options you could ask for. After driving it for a while, I've noticed some grinding on the right side that sound like I need wheel bearings. I love this suv but I'm wondering if it pays to keep this and try to fix it. I've got my mechanic looking at it now but I'm a little spooked as to what it may be. Evedently it has been in a accident but it looks very straight and drives with no front end aliagnment problems. Whats the best and worst scenario for this situation?
