2007 explorer
I have a 2007 ford explorer xlt I am getting a rattling noise I replaced the timing tensioners and water pump noise is still there now the question is can the harmonic balancer side this sound
The big question is; what kind of oil pressure does it have? The tensioners are dependent on good oil and pressure.
Some balancers can separate from the center portion of the pulley and can make a rattling noise. If you move the belt in both directions you can verify that has taken place because you will see the outer part of the pulley move without the inner part moving.
