Ignition coil issues....need help
So im working an escape...2005. Had two issues and got one fixed. Problem im having now is with code p0354. Ignition coil pack on cylinder 4. Its the only code it has. So to test, i switched it with the coil pack from cylinder 5 to see if the code would follow.
now i get 2 codes....p0354 and p0355. When i switched them back to origional positions, p0355 clears but still left with p0354. Where do i go from here? Am i checking the harness now?

A good starting point would be to confirm there is power to the red wire going to coil #4.
Then confirm when the engine is cranking or running that the other wire to the coil is getting grounded by the computer. If both of those are present a cyl compression test should be next to confirm no mechanical problem. What if it is only a defective spark plug ? Always check the easy things first !
The fact that the #4 coil showed bad on cyl #5 also would tell me something is not right with that coil.

Thx for the advice. I did do a continuity test of the coil and it checks out ok. Did one on the wire harness from coil plug to pcm plug and its good too. Checked spark plug its good. Did a spark test on the coil and got nothing. Im starting to think that i may have a bad pcm

update.... i switched spark plugs with cylinder 5. Test and its good. Put in a new coil in cylinder 4 and still nothing. Ran power through signal wire and check with test light and volt meter. ( unpluged from pcm and powered from plug to coil plug). Wiring is good...spark plug is good....new coil is good....suspect bad pcm not sending signal. What number do i need off pcm to match up with another good used one?
