Default 2017 Explorer Wrench Light

Good morning! About 200 miles into a 500 mile road trip yesterday my wrench light came on in my 2017 Explorer with the 3.5 naturally aspirated engine. When it happened I was doing about 88 mph and did not notice any driveability issues. While exiting the highway to get fuel it felt like a slight misfire. Restarted the car after fueling and the light has not reappeared. I did notice one slight misfire late last night, but nothing else.

Unfortunately I didn't bring my OBDII dangle so I can't scan with forscan and Autozone couldn't pull any codes. Has anyone ever experienced this sort of thing? I did an oil change in it the day before and used Motorcraft oil and filter. I am wondering if maybe I justvgot some bad fuel to start the trip.

Thanks in advance for any help! I just want to give my wife peace of mind that we'll make it home lol.

Usually the wrench light involves the ETC, electronic throttle control.
If it was a temporary glitch and the light went out, all you can do is keep an eye on it.

That's why you also need to buy OBDLink MX+ so you can view live data on your phone. This adapter is perhaps the best on the market, it is very pricey but is worth the money because of the OEM enhanced supports so you can retrieve all possible DTCs and view all Ford's specific live data.
Check this below:

so if you also own a Toyota that's a plus. Even if you own a BMW as shown above you don't get OEM DTCs and live data but you still get the generic ones, with a different software like BimmerLink, then you get all OEM DTCs and live data, using the same hardware, OBDLink MX+.
