2018 Explorer Power Liftgate Issue
I am having a rear lift gate power issue and I haven’t found a lot of help on the World Wide Web and am hoping someone here can point me in the correct direction.
My lift gate opens quicker than it has in the past after it is energized with any of the buttons on the machine or the key fob. It then stops about 10 inches from its normal full open. When you electrically actuate it again, it will go to full open. When actuated a third time, it will drop 10 inches and then stay there.
I have already done the power reset. There appears to be nothing mechanically wrong. It opens and closes in manual mode freely. I cleaned the sensors - no change. This issue feels more electrical in nature. Is there an electrical troubleshooting guide to see if maybe the motor or control module are the issue?
Hope everyone is having a terrific day and I thank you in advance for your time.
