I recently purchased a 2021 Ford Explorer Platinum V6 engine. When I start the engine and when I drive, there is a lot of "Engine Noise" that can be heard in the interior of the SUV. Is there any way to dampen the noise to make it more quiet in the interior of the car?

 

This depends on just what kind of noise you are hearing.
What some folks consider noise could be normal, we cannot say without actually hearing the sounds..

 

it’s just regular engine noise. I had a 2014 Explorer Sport V6 and it was much quieter inside. You could barely hear the engine. In the 2021, the engine noise is louder in the interior. It’s like there is some noise dampening material missing under the hood or firewall.

 

If you can, find a lot with a vehicle just like yours and see if it has the same problem.
