I'm so pisssed at Ford. We bought a new 2020 explorer st and had major transition issues. Did the lemon law thing and Ford gaves us a new 2022 Ford explorer st. Cool! But now the 2022 has an odd surging or miss on light acceleration from 0 to 50mph. Sometimes worse and sometimes almost gone. The dealer has replaced the trani, turbos and still is there. Of course the dealer can't feel it half the time. It also smoked on start up, that seams to have been the turbo.

has any one had these issues. It's very odd the computer never trips a code. But sometimes surges or bably with a chutter felt in the car.

About to request a lemon law buy back back. I do love the explorer st and would like to fix it. But lost all confidence in ford.

 

Something you might consider, Ask to drive other similar models/years and see how they perform. If you like what you drove see if they will work an exchange for you.

When we get a vehicle with a problem , either it gets fixed or they need to find someone that can fix it.
