Default 4.0 SOHC Timing chain cartridge replacement?

2006 Mountaineer 4.0

We have a 4.0 liter with 168K miles on it and for the last 6 months the car has been driven with a bad crankshaft damper (belts are squealing like crazy) no other noises besides the belts.

We took tranny out for repair, reverse band broke.

While the tranny is out should I replace the timing chain or with this mileage should I just replace they hydraulic tensioner?

Or have the timing chain and cassette issues already been resolved on this year motor.
