I have called five or six electronic stores(Circuit City, etc.) and a Ford dealer and no one has a replacement for the 8" woofer in the rear of my Mountaineer.

Has anyone had this problem and found a replacement speaker?

I hear the range is near $250 ?

 

well i have never tried to locate something like that but i would guess its not a part you could get an original replacement for. My advice is go to Best Buy or some other electronics store and buy a new set. If you want to take it back close to original, take out the busted speaker, find the brand and product IDon it(if there is one printed on it) and contact the maker of the speaker, they might have an old one lying around somewhere or can help you purchase a newer set. Or go get one at a junkyard(not advisable) i hope that helps some, good luck with your search.
