99 Mountaineer
Pardon me if this has been asked before, can't see it anywhere.
I have a 99 Mountaineer, V8, 126,000 miles. Hard to start when cold. Mechanic told me that the fuel pump is bleeding and that if I turn they key on and wait two seconds, this would give the fuel time to get to the injectors. OR I could spend $500 for a new fuel pump. I chose the two second option but now that is getting more and more of a hassle.
Has anyone had any similar problems that turned out to be something other than the fuel pump, before I spend $500. I already had the air idle control replaced about 30,000 miles ago. Other than that, the truck is in great shape.
Thanks
