HELP MEEEEEE!! Is it true my entire engine has to be literally pulled in order to change the oil pan gasket? I just don't get it, is this real? for the cost my mechanic quoted me I can buy a new (to me) used Explorer. Why would Ford do this? Is the weight of the engine on the pan supposed to be some sort of compression aspect preventing the gasket from ever leaking? I am soooo confused.
