Default 94 Lift Question

Ive got a 3" body lift on my 94. The rear end has a sagging look to it though. Any way to add a little extra to the rear? Something about custom or bigger shackles maybe? Im not sure what these are? Or where to get them?

Is the body in line? (or rather- the body lifted higher than the bed?) Or is the rear suspension not lifted? If the rear suspension isn't lifted you may also need to lengthen your driveshaft. (Same goes with front shaft) The further away the wheels drop the longer the shafts must be. It may only be luck that the front hangs on if you have a suspension lift kit installed without lengthened (and rebalanced) drive shafts. The basic parts should be found through places like Rancho, energy suspension, PST, Skyjacker, etc. Driveshafts need to be lengthened by a very professional and educated shop. (Even better a professional driveshaft rebuilder).

To be sure I worded this right - If you have no suspension lifts your driveshafts are OK as they are. If you just have a body lift and it doesn't look straight - they could have put the body lift together wrong. If your frame is riding at normal (stock) height in the back it's likely screwed up with the body lift kit (wrong rubbers in wrong spots).

P.S. A picture might help. (It's worth a thousand words).

It's probobly just weak springs. With a 94 I would guess it's got some miles on it. My wifes old 93 sit's low in back. As do most of the older Explorers I've seen. It's more common with a standard tranny too.

Yeah. That kind of stuff happens to any car/truck with a standard shift when you lay on the gas in 1st gear too much.
