hello..i am new here so hello to all....my wifes 96 exp has an issue that the temp guage is fluxuating at an idle..to be safe i had her have the coolant sys flushed and refilled but to no avail...i can smell hot coolant after her trip home from work but i cannot locate any leak or fluid loss anywhere..she has had the CE light on for a little while and it pulled an egr code at our local autozone...the head gasket and intake is fine..i am guessing that the thermostat is bad and would appreceiate any ideas as to what may be the trouble..she has the v8 all wheel dive with ac..thanks for any input...orphanreb
