Does anyone have repair details for this common problem in the instrument cluster? I know the problem is in the cluster and not the VSS. I just don't know exactly where to look. I'm not afraid to solder to fix it.

 

its alot easier to just go to your local junk yard and get a differant gauge cluster. it's much easier to change the cluster than to try to open one up and repair the speedo. just check the wires on the 3 plug in connectors on the back and try a differant cluster.
