Default 99 Explorer headlight problem

Hey I have a problem with my 99 explorer, as soon as I start the truck, the head lights come on even if the light switch is on OFF position. I tried to turn them on and then back off and no defference! They never turn off and then when I turn my truck off they stay on for like 5 minutes what creates me a battery problem!! Is there someone who already eared about that problem?, and what do I have to do to fix this?

Thanks guys!

I just realised that it's not only my head lights that stay on but all off them like if i had forgot to turn my lights off before to turn the truck off....I'm sure that it's a very small problem, but I can't find what's wrong...

Some vehicles have a control that is controlled at the top of the inside rear view mirror. Check this out.
