Default '99 Explorer PDL issues

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and am hoping someone can help me out here.
The issue is, the power door locks won't work when trying to lock but will work to unlock. However the switch in the cargo area will work to both lock and unlock. I tried a new switch on the drivers side but nothing changed.
The cheesy Haynes manual I have seemed to indicate that there were seperate relays for locking and unlocking but I have no Idea where to look for them.
Does anyone know where to look and what to look for? This has had me stumped for quite a while and the wife wouild really like her door lock switches to work.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Mark

Welcome to the site..

The relays are in the auxiliary relay box #2 above the left wheel well/interior. Being it works with the liftgate lock switch doubt its a relay.. Remote entry/keyless work on both functions?

Hayapower,

No clue on the remote, bought it used and it didn't have one with it. No keyless entry either.
Any other suggestions? the whole things got me stumped, but I will check that spot for the relays and throw one at it just to see what happens.
Thanks
Mark
