When I start my car the airbag light flashes 3-4 several times then stays on. Can someone let me know what this means before I spend alot of money to fix it? Is this a scam to get a car owner to bring their car in for service? Thans for any info you can give. sewser

 

Does the lamp flash an LFC? prior to staying illuminated constant.. An LFC is a lamp fault (flash) code is present, it will be a series of indicated flashs that would be letssay for a LFC code of 19 as an example,,, it would be indicated by a single (1) lamp flash for 0.5 second period, then a 2 second pause, and another series of 0.5 flashes for a count of nine (9) for a fault code 19.. Then, if more than one fault were indicated a 5 second pause will be between each display of the fault number/LFC.. A steady on lamp would need to have the code/s retrieved from the restrains control module..
