Default alarm

i have a 1999 ford explorer sport 2 wheel drive 6 cly.problem is that everytime the battery is disconnected and reconnected the key wont start the suv i have to disconect the postive termail and reconnnect it for the key to work this has to do with the alarm that is in the suv when i bought it , it came it did not come with alarm key chain remote they lost it but key worked just fine than one day i had to change the battery and the nightmare begins i took it to ford and they said who ever did the wireing did it wrong so he went to start it up after i shut it off and nothing so i told him about the postive termail and went in one ear and out the other he than turn the key and started to play with the red indercator button light on my dash i dont no what he did or in what order but to my surprise it started rigth up i asked him what he did and all he could say was u have to move your suv now its in the way until you make up your mind weather or not we are going to fix the prolbem needless to say i left pissed off but it was working for about a year untill now i had to disconnect the battery and for got about this prolbem and it was to late so if there is anyone with any idea what that guy did please help me out thank you
