Back window
2015 explorer back passenger window will not roll up. I first noticed a problem when I tried to roll it up from drivers control switch and it wouldn’t roll up. I had to do it from the back passenger control. Now the drivers control and the passenger side won’t roll up. What could it be?
.
If there is a broken wire in the circuit, neither switch will make the window go up.
A good part of the time the broken wire is in the driver's door hinge area. The switch usually tells the module what to do, but if the circuit is open for the window motor to receive the signal, it will not respond
.The switch sends a signal of one polarity to make it go down (uses 2 wires) and a reversed polarity signal to make the window go up (uses a 3rd wire to do this.)
This can get a little involved without a wiring diagram, but it could help because it would tell you which color wire is open.
