Default engine dies like it runs out of gas

I can be driving or just sitting there and 20 to30 minutes later my engine will want to die like I'm out of gas but I'm not I've replaced $500 worth on sensors I can spray water on the engine and it starts and runs for the same amount of time it did before can some on help me with my 1994 Ford explorer

Could be ignition module/spark related, possibly fuel pump run,,, having a pressure gauge and spark tester in place as 'life support ' during an event can rule out the possible causes.

Generally fuel delivery isn't as predictable or have such a tight fail pattern, ignition related due to heat fail can be more sensitive to timed drop outs. Certainly not the only two possibilities, but the two I'd prove out straight off in a diagnosis.

It 'wants to die',, meaning it runs rough, or completely stalls out?
