Default Engine swap Questions

Hi all,
I have a 2001 explorer sport with the 4.0 engine in it. It has the dreaded timming chain guides that are shot. I am in the middle of deciding what to do. Should I replace it with another 4.0 that has been rebuilt? Do I put in a used 4.0 engine?? Or is it possible to swap in another engine size with out doing too much modifications? maybe a 4.6?? or 5.0? Are the engine blocks the same size or are they different? can my existing trans bolt up?? I have done a bunch of engine swaps and rebuilds etc.. But they have all been chevy. I know, I know that probally a nasty word on this site. But that is what I have worked on so far. Is a swap to a larger engine possible??
