Default Exhaust centre joint - Gasket or Paste ??

The main big muffler at centre of exhaust before rear silencer has finally had its day and needs replacing. I've ordered the new rear exhaust Part No FE662K.

1 question - where the 2 pipes from the front join the rear section just before the muffler 1 side slides in the other and is held with a U bolt.

The other both have "flat surfaces" with bolt top and bottom.
Is this joint just cleaned to a smooth face & sealed with a gasket and if so does anyone know the Part Number or as some people have told me they both coated with paste and then bolted together with No gasket??

Be grateful for help as exhausts coming next week and if there is a gasket I need to get 1.

Default RE: Exhaust centre joint -flex-a-tallic gasket

Someone on another website has said there should be a
"flex-a-tallic gasket" in the joint.
If this is the case am I right in presuming that this can be reused unless damaged??
