Ford ExplorerThis long running SUV has stood tough against the barrage of new entries into the mid sized SUV market, and with a variety of engine sizes and trim lines, the Exploder offers something for everyone.
I have a Ford Explorer Hybrid Plug-In / rechargeable (3.0 V6 EcoBoost + Electrical Motor) in Europe.
Seeking for a little bit of help, I drove over a very very tiny edge of grass which had a rock in the middle, going backward of a car spot.
It appears it badly damaged an oil circuit (engine oil ?), it's located very middle of the car (left/right section) and vertically located at steering wheel position.
So it looks located between Engine and gearbox. But closer to gearbox I would say.
Looks there is a small oil radiator there, and a flexible very badly located that broke itself on the rock.
I attached few pictures.
Does anyone know what's the purpose of this oil flexible/radiator ?
Same oil circuit as engine ?
For now car is left on top of mountain, waiting for towing back in town on Thursday. It has been towed few meters outside of parking area but they need another truck to get down to the valley.
