I need to know where the ECT Sensor it’s located in a Ford Explorer 2016 or if someone can guide me
step by step I’ll appreciate it.

 

How about you tell us why you are looking for an ECT sensor ?

Hi to answer to your question my Explorer it’s overheating and I took it to Autozone to run the test and the computer came out with the error code P1289 Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Circuit High Imputado.
Due to the situation because of the COVID19 we don’t have the money to pay for this repair so my husband it’s going to do it but we need a diagram to show us where this it’s located and if somebody can guide him that will be awesome.

 

Maybe we can offer some help, but we should know which engine is in your vehicle. There are some folks on this forum that can be more helpful, but until they respond, some of us have to start from the beginning.
