My daughter has a 1991 Ford Explorer that suddenly went dead and now will not crank. We found the fuel reset button, however we have no manual to see if there is a certain way to reset the button. We want to try to reset it before going to have a new fuel pump put in. Any info will be appreciated. Thank you for your help

 

hmmm...i would try checking with a dealership..it never hurts to ask...just call them and ask for a service writer, and ask your question...they will either help you, or they wont, and they will know the answer if they do help you out!

 

hey all you have to do is to replace the fuel pump and go under the passenger sidi rug in the front and press the the button and it wiil be reset. make sure your fuel pump relay is good its under the hood on the passenger side fender or near the strut housing. hope this helps peace
