Default MP3

i have a 2005 explorer eddie bauer with all the bells and whistles.

my problem is how do i get mp3 playback out of the stereo.

i have the 6 disc changer in dash.

ive tried everything and every way to burn the disc. it always ejects the cd after it reads it.

here is the answer to my question.

if your head unit doesnt have directions to play and mp3 on the radio preset station, its not mp3 ready.

what it will say above each preset button 1-6 things like folder > folder<


in short, if you radio preset buttons dont have anything except the preset numbers, it wont play MP3's

The face of the radio will actually say MP3 somewhere on it if it is the MP3 version. The owners manuals usually show all radios offered, so you can't assume the one you're reading about is the same one as yours. You can go to www.replacementradios.com and see if they have any of the MP3 versions.
