Default Mystery Part

Hello All,

I am trying to identify this part. It is on the driver side of the engine near the oil dip stick. It has what I believe is a coolant line attached to it. I am getting coolant spraying out of the part, it appears to have melted through.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the site..

Looks like your pointing to the DPFE sensor (differential pressure feedback). Should be 2 silicon type hoses connect to the unit. The DPFE monitors EGR flow/exhaust back pressure. If cat. convertor restricts it can blow off the hoses or destroy the sensor. Sometimes exhaust condensation with help fail the sensor. Coolant/anti freeze may indicate gasket etc issues.

How is the explorer running? CEL must be on as well?
