Default New Explorer Owner, Need Factory Code

Hello Everyone. I just bought a 2001 Explorer Sport 4WD 2DR. I cannot find where the computer module is on the vehicle so I can get my Factory Keycode to change the personal passcodes. I have already checked in the jack compartment at the rear driver's side of the vehicle, but still do not know where the module is. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. THANKS!

I don't know about the newer Ford's but where my computer on my 90 is is behind the kickpanel on the passenger side. They probably moved it by now but can check that real quick.

I know you said you already checked the jack compartment but I bought a used Explorer several years ago and I found a sticker in the jack compartment with the key code. They might have moved it to the computer module but I wouldn't bank on it. My computer was located in the kick plate on the right side of the passenger side. Good Luck.

Thanks for your responses, I'll look in the morning in both those places. Hopefully I can come up with it!

It is forward of the jack compartment behind the trim. Normally I use a scanner to retrieve the Keyless entry code, but on occasions, I've had to look for the original.
