Ford Explorer This long running SUV has stood tough against the barrage of new entries into the mid sized SUV market, and with a variety of engine sizes and trim lines, the Exploder offers something for everyone.

I bought at 2018 Explorer XLT recently and had a question about my purchase. I qualify for the x plan pricing but the salesman said that the price he was offering was cheaper than what I could get using the x plan. We drove the car, liked it so we bought it. When we were completing the sale he asked if I had my work ID. I asked him why he wanted it since we weren't using the x plan and he said he wanted to check one last time to verify. He came back and said it got me $10 off some doc fee?

This sounded kinda fishy to me. Anyone know about the x plan or why he may have wanted my work ID after we completed the sale? Afterwards I thought that maybe they put it in as a x plan sale to get some rebates from Ford that I don't know about.

Any ideas? Does it sound right that their sale price is lower than the x plan and if so why would he want my ID afterwards?

Thanks,
