Default not enough power when step on gas

i have an '04 explorer ltd, the first problem i had is when i start the truck in the morning, it turned over. then you need to step on the gas to start it... (problem might be on the IAC). then i notice lately when i tried to step on the gas (stationary) the rpm would not rise to 5, it would just barely reach 4 then goes down even when i haven't released the gas yet? what is wrong with my truck... anybody have ideas?

thanks...

First problem does sound like the IAC, so either replace it or clean it. Second problem, does it run alright when you are driving it? Is this only when setting still in neutral? These computors have a failsafe system built in to them. They will not let you "redline" the engine in neutral. They do a fuel cut to avoid high rpms and the engine sounds like it is trying to die.
