Something you might consider,
when you order the parts and have someone else do the work.
If the parts are the wrong ones, what do you do now?
If the person doing the work gets the wrong parts it's their problem to get the right parts and they can usually get them that day.
If you get the wrong parts now the job has to be held up until you can exchange the wrong parts for the correct ones if you can even do that!
I guess it all depends on just who is doing the job and the amount of time available.

Thanks for everyones help. I did get the oil pan gasket replaced and it cost me $250.00 for the labor, but I did have the parts for them to use. Ordered the parts at Rock auto and they were the right parts.
