I purchased a 2014 Ford Explorer Sport two months ago from a ford dealership. We brought it into a ford dealership closer to home 2 days ago (at 80600kms) for a grinding noise in the steering column. They said the Rack and Pinion need replaced. The quote price seems extremely high. Went back to the purchase location and they quoted the same price saying they were giving us 20% off??? Any reasonable quotes? Suggestions?

 

With problems like this , a second or even a third opinion is worth considering.
