I'd sure like to see your fix. If you found it and got it fixed, no need to re-invent the wheel. Hopefully it will be the same "weak link" on mine (and others). Thanks for your info and pics in advance. I will repost when I have fixed or failed mine.

That broken circuit board makes sense because my Explorer would sometimes start working again if I pressed on the speedometer while driving.
